Trust and Reputation Mechanisms and Standardisation for Cloud Services

The last ten years have seen the rapid emergence and adoption of Service Computing in almost every sector. More recently, the Cloud Computing paradigm has become the center of attention of most of the community, as it promises to offer new dimensions to computing, by solving many of the issues encountered until recently. The general principles of this “computing on-demand” implies an outsourcing of different elements of a company’s IT infrastructure. This outsourcing is organized along the 3 “classical” layers of the cloud (SaaS, PaaS and IaaS). The deeper you go in this outsourcing, the higher your have to trust your provider.
